Pakistan: A fierce fire broke out in a famous Sunday market in Pakistan’s capital Islamabad, in which about 300 shops and stalls were burnt to ashes. The fire spread so fast in the market that the help of the Air Force had to be taken to extinguish the fire. According to media reports, the fire broke out near gate number seven of the market, where old clothes and carpets are sold.
Local officials of the Sunday market said that 10 fire engines had to struggle for several hours to extinguish the fire and the help of two fire engines of the Air Force had to be taken, after which the fire was brought under control. There is no news of any casualty in this incident.

According to media reports, the fire was so severe that it quickly engulfed the shops. In no time, more than 300 shops were burnt to ashes. Taking cognizance of this entire matter, Pakistan’s Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah Khan has sought a report from the local district administration.

In that too, 300 shops were burnt to ashes. Earlier in the year 2018 also, 90 shops and stalls of clothes and hosiery section were burnt due to fire in this market.

Let us inform that in the year 2017, after a blast in a solar powered battery in a hosiery stall, there was a massive fire in sections E and F of this market. This market is held on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday in a week. Local people know it as Sunday market. Fruits, old clothes and carpets, household items are available in this market. Due to this there is a lot of crowd in this market.
